How not do design LEGO Mercedes SLS AMG

This is my amazing SLS design, only one problem, it doesn’t work! The famous part 4070 ruins everything – it doesn’t fit in 1x1x1 opening because sideways stud extends a little bit beyond 1x1x1 dimensions. Of course its really easy to realize that when building real models, but since I design everything digitally I forgot that (as far as I know, none of digital LEGO building tools recognize this issue and they all allow this part to be placed in 1x1x1 opening without any limitations (or to be more precise, it can’t be placed with side stud next to other brick. It can be placed in 1x1x1 opening if there is gap (no brick) on the side where open stud is).
So now I have I think almost as perfect design as I can get, and I need to change it. And it most likely will compromise my design a bit. At this point I know that I need keep the part 4070 in its original position because I think its the best possible part in that position to recreate square air intake openings. So part behind this brick needs to be changed, and because of my design, I can’t keep the my amber side reflector in original place. But I really want to keep that part and its current position is great. So not sure yet what to do.
I will probably redesign this model and publish my new versions at some point later this month.
