Finally I decided to start working on larger scale Expert models. I always thought that I won’t do this scale since it would take too much time and I still have ideas for smaller scale models, but maybe its time to try something new. I define the ‘Expert’ category models as something at least 12 studs wide, and have all opening parts. I can already tell – I won’t do Technic details like working engine, suspension or steering. Don’t know how to do that yet, and I probably won’t be able to generate instructions so complex. I can maybe hire somebody to do instructions for me, but I want to just build what I want, without any pressure or sales expectation that would come in if I spend any money for getting instructions.
In terms of detail and functionality I think the LEGO Fiat 500 is something that you can expect.
First model is already ready – it will be the first generation Ford Bronco.

LEGO Ford Bronco
And also few more models in progress:

LEGO Ford Taurus SHO
LEGO Jeep Wrangler YJ
LEGO Dodge A100
These are not the only Expert size designs I’m working right now, I have few more. It looks like its more easy for me to do a 4×4 style vehicles, not the sedans or sports cars. So I think at least at first – most of my Expert size models will be either SUV’s, Pickup trucks or Vans.
Right now it looks like most 12 stud wide models will need about 600 – 900 parts – and everything will cost around $80-100
16 stud wide models will have about 1000 – 1500 parts and everything will cost around $100-150
